Damascus Steel is Forged steel with a combination of 2-Metals (1095 and 15N20) it is a process of layering, melting, and hammering. This results in each blade having a unique design and pattern.

The knife its self was very well packaged and protected. The sheath it came with not so much it as a little damage at the tip. Over all still a good buy.
